Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
To Be honest,
I reckon that's repairable. Roof may be warped a bit but the rest looks ok still.
If only I had the time ?????

Me too- got one sitting here. I reckon its the sunvisor that is making it look like the roof is bent. I don't think the roof is too bad looking at the photos.

Had dome time today so I finished of the fiddly corner bit of the drivers floor and started welding the passenger sill bottom up. Just tacked it every 6" at this stage. Interested in opinions as to whether to fully weld or leave as is.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
That would be plenty I would think , are they about 100mm apart ? A mate of mine has a spot welder, they are perfect for doing stuff like that

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Can it be finished with spot weld?
Certainly fully welding it would be the strongest.

Blacky fyi 6" = 152.4mm, so no. I will plug weld where I used the two screws as well. Should be more than strong enough. Outer sills are mainly cosmetic after all.
Drew I've heard stitch welding can actu a lot be st r on her than a full weld, but then I'm thinking more about sealing things up. B it t h an I suppose I will blow them full of cavity wax any hoo.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
I welded around both sides of the drain holes and spot welded the rest.

Van stuff in the ute post?
I always forget to pre -drill the floor weld spot holes on the outer sill and forgot again the other day. I will remember for the drivers side.
