Although I love V8's the simplicity of a six is awesome.

I was at Bathurst a few years ago and we did 2 engine changes in a mates EH in 2 days in the paddock !!!!!

The culprit we eventually worked out was the oil pumped up to the rocker cover and couldn't return quick enough, 2 motors 2 sets of bearings and 2 cranks stuffed !!

Anyway Clay that will be running tonight by the looks of things !!!!

Good thing slings are cheap - I have done similar a few times over the years , a Stanley knife will fix that quick smart
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Thanks all. Saved the sling Blacky. 12 hour days Brett and yes I have trouble sleeping lately. As Greg says it's all pretty simple.

Have oil pressure spark fuel ignition. Exhaust now, my favorite. Out with the disc and mig after lunch.Image

And thanks Neil for reading my mind. Once exhaust and spark timing are sorted bed lifters and cam in. Make sure pushrods are rotating and maybe adjust rockers first.

I had the rockers pretty tight. Adjusted to a loose 4thou. The last pushrod, no 6 exhaust not rotating. 2000rpm with rocker cover off is very messy.

Changed pushrod and rocker although they looked ok. Got a rusty rocker cover to cut top out of and save some mess. Bottom radiator hose clamp stripped. Off to get one and pick up new front tyres. Then it will be a civilised hour to start making some noise, yeh, yeh...

Not there yet. Covers have to come off and look at this back lifter. Focusing on that one but could be others.

Work has slowed now I’ve got the Lergy. Finally succumbed after family had it for weeks. Insomnia hasn’t helped my immune system.Focusing on the exhaust so I can get car off stands.

Looking for clutch hose. Thought I would use a spare brake hose now realised the hose will only accept 3/16" flare not 1/4. Old one was bit crusty but should be here somewhere.

New front runners. They're tall. 195/75R14 Maxxis.ImageImage

You did well to resist fitting the muffler-delete option at the same time
