Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Went in easy with all the original bits minus bottom rubbers and tubes as I always thought. All the tubes are the same length. Rubbers nipped up nicely. Beer o'clock.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Not sure what you mean guys. Rubbers are all compressed up as they were with the original front end. Same as what I did in my last car and that went from pillar to post over a decade, around the clock with no issues, this same front end.
Achtung baby. Happy Anzac Day.

Couldn't resist a mock up. Front sill 205mm, rear 225mm. 185/70 fronts, 235/60 rear, gearbox, block and two bare heads up front. I will fit some taller front tyres and should be good.

Hurriedly Rectified Rob no doubt given up on me since I chopped the springs.
I'm pretty happy with how the stance is turning out. Could be lower but guards will be pretty well filled and no rubbing. Well we will see about that.

Pulled sump and backing plates out of the citric bath, cleaned, prepped and primed.
Then got the brush out and gave the front suspension and splash pans a coat of chev charcoal engine enamel.

Looking good Clay, that citric acid is certainly the go. How far away is the reconditioned donk?

I just go on and on......
Expecting motor back next week Stephen, ready for assembly. Should have suspension and brakes sorted prior barring any surprises with the calipers.

Calipers are stripped and marinating in bucket of citric acid. One of the pipe ports was chewed out so replaced half shell from spares. I remember shearing off bleed screw on the same shell In ‘86.
Painted backing plates and other bits with the grey gloss enamel. Brush is just as good finish with this stuff, easier and more economical.
