Bit of tweeking got mounts sitting nice. Spigot, journals and subframe notch all line up. Kudos Pete and Neil.ImageImage

Mounts are all but hanging over th e back of the crossmember. I thought I was going to be moving them forward as previous car was close to the firewall as the lip needed to be removed from the cowl to firewall seam. I did change engine mounts to some reinforced "XU-1" type.

Hi Clay using those remade mounts is the only way in my book I've seen some really shoddy ones that just dont look safe.
Before my FC was a V6 I had a 208 and 4 speed in it and when I moved the mounts for it the were right at the very back so I would expect the same for you.

Thanks Neil. The two grey gearbox mounts take a lot of the weight so the fronts aren’t working too hard weight wise, although they will take a fair share of the torque when the right foot goes down. I may change to later box at some stage in any case. I believe red crash box will fit with relatively minor massaging.

Pulled finger out, welded mounts, cleaned, ranexed, primed and covered with remaining 250ml kbs moter koter Chevy charcoal grey. ImageImage
