Two Cents' Department:

Only replace the control arm bushes if the bushes are loose on the shafts.
Only replace the upper ball joints if the stud puts up no resistance to being moved.
Only replace the bottom ball joints if the dust cover's torn.

I have replaced too many perfectly sound GMH-spec suspension parts with aftermarket parts of . . . variable . . . quality and been bitten in the rear as a result.

Will do. What is the key distance to lower top pivot please. I will be running 2" lowered I think so top knuckle is effectively raised already.

2" ride height lowering will provide most, if not all the benefit of lowering the upper control arm shaft at standard ride height. Save yourself the effort.

Subframe bolt is way too long so cut some rod to length. Should have used a finer thread and nuts that fit one of my spanners. Multiple tools are being both physically and verbally abused. To no avail.Image

Heat the stub a bit near the taper and give it a couple of love taps and they should break free.

Don't worry, the only thing in a red can that would touch my lips is MB. And that is not likely. Not really sparkling if it isn't brewed in the bottle. Still not coming.Image

I win eventually. Just had to cheat a bit. Won't be reusing these ball joints. Took the control arms off st the inner pivots. Cut top ball joint and popped out tsper in the press. Only needed about 3t. Top taper drifted out wit the aid of anvil and copious BFH. Now for some

Stock FB ute on the left.
Lovels heavy duty HR centre. I believe may be lowered 2"
2" lowered stock HR on right. These were a nice ride in the area after I turned the old he as by duty ones which were a bit harsh at the time.
