Rear ended is ready to trial fit for sway bar mount attachment. I re did the brake lines using salvaged tube nuts. New ones I used last time only come with 10mm heads, not 3/8”. Luncheon time.

I was hoping to re-use wheel cylinders. On e was quite good but second one, no. $35 pair delivered from resto country. Much cheaper than FB ones and says they are good brand not cheapo knock offs.

Exhaust coming out as it will intefere with sway bar body mount. That settles it. I will fit the x2 headers before new motor goes in, body up an exhaust good enough to get me to exhaust shop. Then get a nice custom job done.

Great work Clay,

It blows me away how cheap things are like wheel cylinders and brake stuff is at the moment.

Picked up an unmolested 186 L head from gumtree last night. Took down to machine shop and were a lot happier with the seats. Will probably fit slightly larger valves and upgrade the springs.

Got a tin of KBS motor coater rocket red to do engine and brakes. Not cheap $64 500ml by goes a fair way.

I normally just drive them in with an BFH
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Believe me I tried blacky. The rubbers are 10mm longer than the space they have. This was only way I could get nuts started. Wound them up to 30lb ft which was as much as I dared. Then took up with bottle jack and wound some more. Will have a good idea of the ride height soon.

This explains why utes get the bottle jack... its a multi-purpose tool :D

The front bushes are painful. Mine had vulcanised to the metal that badly that we had to heat them up with the gasaxe to get them out.

Cheers,
