The SA car club one is a beauty. I guess there will be a 'Life's a beach' one soon?

Well done on the club sticker on the rear window. I knew you would have no problems after your build.
There is a right way and a wrong way and then there is my way which is usually the long way.

Not a fan of stickers either, though one of the "classic, not plastic" ones would suit.

Mucking around on Friday night. Deliberately loading up the rear. Half tonne load estimated. Still got 3" to bump stops and the spring is flat. Front sits 8" to bottom of sill, unladen 8.7". Rear 7.9" laden, 9.7" unless . 1.8" lowered rear.

The 215 65 14 tyres interfere with the guard by a few mm. New rims will be 5mm less offset, and run 205 60 or 195 65 14. Should be able to get it lower still. Just waiting until after Charmaine's "mystery" cruise next weekend, then I'll pull the rear out and replace the springs.ImageImageImage

Ute been in the naughty corner since last weekend when the inside drivers door handle popped off outside the bakery how embarasing. After trying different handles and clips, changing cranks and chopping down the spring still no luck.

Re set clip spring in the vice and all sorted!? Next time I'll do that first.

Some clips seem to be spring steel (like a bulldog clip), others seem to be chrome plated mild steel (as rigid as trifle).

More embarrassment this morning. Went for a run down for a surf rally and ran out of petrol on the way home. Same old story, gauge showing 1/3 tank. Wife came to the rescue but sitting on the side of the road for a half hour.
