Yes I know but want to stick with original axle at this stage, and have the correct offset Samsons. Will get the rear in the air and do some measuring.

Tried all my 14" wheel options, well most of them. They all limit lowering potential. Best option at this stage seems to be my trusty 13" chromies. 205 60 13 on 7" rims rear and 185s on the front see how tall i can get. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Bought them for the 6" HT rims when I had some bills burning a hole in my pocket Ric. All these wheels I've bought, can't believe the 13" ROH chromies i got in 1989 are the best offset on the rear. I did have to send the tears back to get shifted inward when I bought them from Adelaide wheel and rim works.

We have all bought retreads / caps over the years mate.

Lucky you have so much stuff to end up with something you really like.
Well done.

One if these chromies is a little rough. And I sort of had my heart set on 14" jellybeans but the 7" need the Tirana diff if lowered and not ready for that.ImageImage

That ain’t rough. That’s treasured, used as intended, or period correct. IMHO, perfect chrome is for cars that are not driven.

I like this rear end shot Clay. I bet that’s what you’ve been imagining throughout the resto. Great stuff.

Cheers,
John

Yeh yeh bones.

Rear axle very stubborn. I will have to take of the shoes and try Rob’s method. My axle shaft slide hammer isn’t working.

Clay
That one chromie is a bit of let down compared to the others, would hate to think what it would cost to redo that? Will you have the wheels sorted for AHD in a couple weeks?

I’m sure I’ll come up with something Stephen. Just hope I don’t kill all the lawn at Wigley Reserve with the oil that’s pissing out of the passenger side rear wheel bearing.

Hey there clay have you got any meat to machine off the back of your jellybeans? That’s what I did on the ones I had on mine, which are now on Mick’s wagon and they have 245/50/14s on them
