They are original Brett. Just half heartedly cleaned up and clear coated along with the floor. Be less noticeable when they get scratched that way.

Or you can go to Bunnings and buy stainless strip and drill to suit.

Any excuse to go to Bunnings. Its amazing, 3 ute tubs and I don't think I've got a single strip. Anyway, that's next years problem.

Good to see a reasonable amount of traffic on the forum lately. Few builds going on, new members, old members and general smart arse rubbishing and teasing taken I hope in the best of fun.

Nice warm day on the Fleuerieau peninsula today. Pretty dry for this spring. Daz on the Torana forum is doing a full close doors base coat on a hj shell today and inspired me to finish the undercoat on the bonnet.Image

Dropped the front on the ute, kicked in guts and put outside while I paint. Really it's been handy having it running with limited space in the shed. Some outside shots of the Wedgewood Blue.ImageImageImageImage

Havent you got a job to go to Rob? No more excuses now. IImage

It is very tempting to go for a little turn up the street yo my mates place. What could go wrong? It's 200 metres up a quiet back street in a pretty quiet town.

I laid it on a bit thick for the amount of thinners I think (1:1) trying to get nice and wet for a smooth finish. That backfired so now thinned paint and more coats going on. Hopefully can colour after this.Image

Lol - playing the waiting game and getting someone else to do the ute work while I make socks and jocks - hopefully tomorrow - it’s looking great with a buffImageImage
