Think Stu is missing this colour in the Tech Section for paint.

Dont think we have an FB/EK in this colour on the site, Dave can you try and snap a shot in the sunlight please mate and post it up.

Hope you leave it in the original colour :)

The FB ute I am restoring is Banff blue - you are right about them looking good in blue - then again FB`s look good in any colour :D
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I'll leave the timber floor out of the back until I find & fix the fuel leaks.
I'm getting a 3mm cover plate made up to go where the fuel sender is while it is away getting "changed over", so I can still drive it. Will post a drawing of the plate once I'm sure it fits.
I'll take a better photo of the colour for the site when I get some batteries.

Lucky for me seemed that the fuel was only leaking from the fuel sender. Once I put the cover plate on - no more leaks. Now to send off the sender to rare parts for a changeover unit. Quoted 2 weeks turnaround and around $110.

Mephious - you're right we are are missing that paint sample.

Dave would it be possible for you to email me some more pics of your ute? I think you're the only one on this Forum with a EK in Cottesloe Cream...

See this thread http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... 88&start=0 for more information...

Hi Dave, that is a very rare colour! Hope when it was repainted they got the right paint mix before the respray. Was the inside painted? If not, that's the pics we need to see, or under the bonnet.

It does look like Honey Beige in the pics.

it doesnt look like the inside was painted but the outside looks the same colour as the inside. Photos can be misleading with certain colours, the close uo sample I gave you looked different in the centre than on the edges on my computer but it was the same in real life. I'll probably get a small amount of paint mixed up soon for some touch ups, that will confirm if the colour is true.
