I slipped into a couple double black JW's last night - neat of course.

Coopers is one of the good ones - my mates family farm grows all of their Hopps down here in Vic.

Re: Gimme 5 years
okay, if beer o'clock is over - I'll get back on track
I plan to change the ute back to column shift so have been collecting bits.
The pin holes in the honeypot are completely worn out (and you can see thread marks in there so it's previously run with a nut and bolt)
Thought about ways to fix it for a while - then this NOS one turned up
for $35
anyway that's something for 'later on'
Patrick

Re: Gimme 5 years
The bonnet on the ute was pretty rough
But it came with a solid spare bonnet
Just needed a quick coat of paint...and, with a bit of polish, the chrome is good enough for my purposes...although I did put on a better bonnet bird.

Remember when these were a dime a dozen?
Re: Gimme 5 years
Remember it like it was 1972. Mate had an early HQ, mph speedo and no headrests. Just don’t get rear ended.

Re: Gimme 5 years
Only a couple of hours of warmth today, so I hung some bits and pieces (battery hold down, gear linkages etc) from the clothes line and sprayed them black.
While they were drying, I put a cigarette lighter in ... that actually took a bit longer than I thought it would - removed the glovebox, airflow control lever and ashtray. Drilled, mounted and wired it up and then there's just enough depth back there to squeeze the lot back in (if you like puzzles). Then put the airflow control lever and glovebox back in and it's bourbon o'clock.

Re: Gimme 5 years
another delivery...got some seatbelt mounting plates
a bit stronger than the top mounts I pulled out
the ute previously only had two seatbelts - if anyone has a centre lap belt from back then that looks anything like this I'd be interested
