Which ring gear does it use: red or grey? It determines which starter motor you have to use . . .

Red motor starter motor. Its a holdenman one.

Hq accelerator cable going to the Holley.

Thought it looked familiar. Looks like they used an original trim clip hole. Had one in my standard sedan but didn't like it. Eventually ran the cable from the lever on the end of the original pedal which worked pretty good. Electric kickdown button under original pedal.

Though the selector is moving a foot closer to the driver on this one because I’m putting in r&p steering

Will the neutral safety switch work on the ek column? , you can buy new ones to suit trimatic and ek column

HJ one bolts up and works as it should. Park and neutral only power to starter solenoid. Reversing lights. If you wanted to be tricky maybe you could run a relay off the brake lights so you only get starter when your foot is on the brake as well, like a proper flash modern car.
