You would have to make it shorter of coarse!
I made it of timber then to give it strength and smooth out the lines I put a couple of layers of Fiber Glass over it ,it was easy just basic carpentry butchering skills ,I was a printer so if I can do it anyone can. I noticed you said in a later post that the shifter is close to the vertical can you move it back a little with out much trouble.
Any questions let me know if I cant answer them I am sure Chopped can.

I like the top photo of Ronalds, where the shifter surround is the same colour. The shifter surround helps to break up the “flatness” of the panels.

Yeah he fabbed it up in sheet metal then wrapped it in vinyl to soften it a touch - his ute is pretty amazing - super modified - 4 link rear etc

Thanks for posting the pictures guys, I like them all so will have to combine all the options, I do like Ronalds and I see he has moved the top forward a little from the vertical to give the extra slope, great idea and of course I'm going to steal it :twisted: :twisted:

It is a bit hard to move my shifter back now so will work around it and yes Clay I would prefer to just use the shifter base but because of the extent of wiring there is really no room to hide it up under the dash, it is already full up there, that is why the console to cover the relays and engine fuses which will be beside the shifter for access.

That is my body colour and it fits up to dash real happy the way it turned out I did away with the bottom part of shifter chrome surround sits on console :smile22: :smile22:

Hi Billy yeh I would be really happy with that console too mate it looks great and nice colour.

I'm going to do the same with the shifter, get rid of the plastic base and just screw the chrome boot surround to the console.

Well Frank is going to the exhaust doctor tomorrow to have his fitted, this will be a good step towards getting the engine tuned properly on the Haltech instead of trying to run it on the standard Delco.

Auto electrician then coming back on the 12th Feb to sort the couple of gremlins.

Another great build... locked into this one as well.
I struggled to come up with a console for mine.. ended up with a Volvo (shock, horror) one that I simply cut the bottom off... it had a perfect hole in it for the VDO tacho I've got.... that's all. I made up a little round ended box to fit three small gauges... then sprayed it in Charcoal hammered metal finish epoxy enamel... to match the Warmaride, which I had done previously.
The inside of my old bus is the "unfinished" part of the car.. it looks crap where this console and ripped apart (to fit over large trans hump) carpet is..
I have yet to devise a plan for the end result, but the pix above are certainly spiking some rejuvenation ....
If I could have mirror tinting put on my windows - it would make the overall car look much better.. apart from the original fittings (which are all 100% original to the vehicle) - the rest of it looks like it should be a major make-over with a skip handy to take the mess away...

Hey Bones, mate just the same as the FC I don't think it is going to make much difference and the guy I bought the engine off of said he had basiclly a standard size exhaust.

Think I'm going to have to change the back shocks on the tow car :wtf: :roll: :roll:

Hasn't rained in quite a while over here and the day I want to take Frank to the exhaust Doctor it bloody rains poor Frank was a mess by the time I got to where I had to go. :shock: :shock: :x
I'll post a couple of photos tomorrow of the exhaust after I pick up Frank.
