Yes Neil, he has restored a big recess in the firewall and also around the radiator support. :smile22:

Got a tiny bit more done today , blasting opened up a couple of pinholes in the subframe, must have leant an EK part against it or something Image opened it up with the die grinder and a couple of small holes became one big hole Image

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Not bad if that is all you found blacky. Where do you get that glue? Works good.

“Must’ve leant an EK part up against it”, who are you kidding blacky that lower passenger firewall floor pressing is EK. That must be where the rust migrated from.

Sorry for doubting your integrity mate. It must have been only the very early builds with carry over FC floor pans.

Got some paint on it - doesn't seem to be GMH black though , it is flat as all buggery - will see how it looks in the morning and if I don't like it I will get a litre of satin black and go over it againImageImage

I got a litre of clinker grey satin acrylic to do dash and firewall on one (being a restorer). They said the flattener sinks pretty quick. Maybe you could pour off what's left leaving the flattener in the bottom and have another go.
