FB First Photo
I've been at this for a number of years and thought I might show where I"m up to
Put a full Commodore through it
V6, 4 speed auto, 4 wheel discs, a fairly standard build I guess
Got a bit to go but making a bit of progress lately

Re: FB First Photo
Hey Cliff,
Looks like you have made quite a bit of progress up until now, which looks great. Interested to see some more pictures as you continue.
Regards
Stephen

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Wowee Cliff. Very tidy looking project. I notice you’ve got an EK front bumper on it. Just thought I’d pitch in before some other rivet counter does. Look forward to more pictures and dialogue.

Hi Cliff
Nice one mate welcome to the V6 world, from what I can see in the photo you are using an ecotec engine or is it another one?
My FC Sedan and "Frankenstein" the EK ute are both the same setup as yours but I like the earlier VR engine.
Looks like you are a fair way along mate, how much more do you have to do and you know I have to ask what colour yours is
Regards
Neil

Re: FB First Photo
Thanks for the comments guys.
The colour is from GMH (Devil Yellow)
Running a VN Diff and a V6 Conversions front suspension
Wanting to run 16" Commodore rims, the rear end is OK for the track but will have to find a couple of 26P's for the front
Chassis kit from Waddingtons
Collapsible steering column from Alien Retro Spares
Engine is the 3.8 Eco Tech
Transmission is 4 speed auto from the Commodore donor car
I will go with Minimum Chrome (Yes the bumpers are EK, but I have a Licensed EK Ute and another one in very poor condition but OK for parts now and then. Also got a FC Sedan that was done around 1996 and a FJ in the shed (not enough time or money, big mistake tackling 2 at a time
I think I have enough gear to get it finished but might be looking for a grill or grill bars

Re: FB First Photo
Nice setup Cliff
I'm running commodore 16" VS SS mags 205 rear and 195 up front I narrowed the diff to suit the rims, I seem to be ok up front as well as the commo rims have a lot of (not sure if you call it positive or negative offset) the rim inside, on full lock I am not touching my HR wishbones. I'm a bit low at the moment and have to pick him up a bit in the front.
Rims as per the pic mate. Anyway good luck with it and keep posting photos mate, I look forward to seeing it on the road.

Re: FB First Photo
Nice looking ute.
Has it passed Rego/Engineering yet? Who are you using for the engineering?
What profile are the tyres?
