Thanks for the comments guys this has gone further than it was ever supposed too.
Screwed all the long polished strips down yesterday the 36 screws hold the strips and the board to the body.
Fitted an air intact snorkel to the engine to bring the filter to the front to get some cooler air.

Also hid the washer bottle under the passenger side guard.
So I think :roll: engine bay is finished and the tray/back end is finished still got brakes to bleed, interior to do, some handbrake cable brackets underneath same as Harv had said and of course a number of small stuff.

Hey Trev I was changing the black tube to the clear one that is there and broke one of the painted nozzles "angryy: I had fitted already to the bonnet so had to paint another two :esad: so it is waiting to be connected :ebiggrin:

It looks really neat without the washer bottle in the bay. Can you top the bottle up without having to take a wheel off?

I put my plastic bottle on the firewall above the body tag. Bought an el-cheapo bottle from SuperCheap. Hit a few bumps, the bottle came adrift and the headers cooked the bottle. Replaced it with a fancy ally bottle. Looks pretty cluttered though. I'm regretting using the bonnet-mounted washers... they want to dribble even with the car cold and static. Am going to try a check-valve and see if that helps (hoping that the lightly seated check valve will be enough to stop dribbling flow).

Should have my headliner next week and looking to finish tidying up the wiring then windows and interior and bobs your uncle.

Harv I didn't really want to put the nozzles in the bonnet either but seemed to be no other way that worked well enough I originally had the bezel mounted nozzles in my FC Sedan and they never worked properly and ended up putting bonnet mounted in it.
Mate not that I really intend to use them much after rego and I will probably have to remove the tyre to fill it up if it every needs it again :crazy: .

Don't think I can make Mudgee Mr B as much as I would like to be there with Frank something has come up that means I am going to miss this year but I'm sure you will all have fun, I really would have loved to get Frank around the Mountain.

Finally found the hole (story of my life :lol: ) to run the interior light wires down.

With the wiring to the light I assume from the wiring diagram that white goes to one terminal the orange goes to the other but my wiring diagram shows an earth is this a wire or the switch is erathed to the body by the screw???

Fitted my homemade accelerator pedal with commodore end and pedal on it and put some 4mm nutcerts in the metal glove box and fitted it, it will come back out to be lined and so I can get to the wiring to pull it up behind the dash.

I know I have mentioned the interior light door switches before however looking at the wiring diagram, again, it looks like it shows the buttons having an earth :econfused: , I have the small buttons with no connections on them, do they earth to the body and how do the wires connect to the buttons any photos would be great.

The orange wire is +12V from the fusebox. It goes into one end of the bulb (i.e. the bulb is always "live"). The other end of the bulb can be earthed via the domelight switch. This is just from the bulb, through the globe holder, and then through the screw into the roof cross member (and hence back to the battery via all the cars sheetmetal).

For fancy cars with door switches, there is another way to make the earth. It goes from the bulb, through the bulb holder, and out the white wire. The white wire goes to the door switches (i.e. the white wire is also always "live"). The door switches have a simple contact that lets them earth via their "tin can" body into the door frame (and hence back to the battery via all the cars sheetmetal). When putting the door switches into the door frame, make sure the "tin can" bodies are clean, and that you have taken the paint off the doo frame holes.
