doors
Hi Dave - my condolences...........
Good point though - didn't do any real damage to the sill or rear quarter/arch.
Yes, thanks for sharing the "orientation" issue........... good point - you have started work on two r/h doors.
Good thing you had the spray equipment out - that saved a bit of time......
At the start of my respray I spent three months on my two l/h doors and apertures - got the doors just about right - even blocked down and compounded out the gun "flutter" - was fitting the hinges to the rear one whilst on a large padded stool, went to the tool locker only to hear Crash.......whir, whir, wobble as it rolled around on the concrete floor - didn't even look, knew the damage was done and nothing I could do now was going to "help".
Pulled down the roller door without looking, went inside, sat in a huff for some time whilst having a cuppa - went out in around an hour and found the frame bent, top corner folded over and a great dent in the panel........ fixed most of it for the boat trip holiday - but dent and scratches are still there - you'll see in Yamba?
frats,
Rosco

frats,
Rosco
Hey Rosco, I'm in two minds whether to put my van in for full paint and panel before the nats. I might just run it down the way it is at the moment, Reliable, fairly straight, headturner and no show pony.
Why have 'em if ya don't drive 'em!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers Theo Z...............

yeh the engine conversion works a treat bit more pull than the old motor
need to change the diff ratio back to 3.55 but all good
it scraped the rear 1/4 and creased the wheel spat aswell could have been worse
ya gotta hate that rosco its not the first time ive done somthin stupid like that
would love to do Yamba but i hear Balli calling again
id still rather drive 47 years of dents n scratches than a newer car
