Re: Holden FB-EK Colours and Combinations - Cars - Paint Num
For those that are unaware - The ID Tag (see bellow) contains a three digit (Normally) number next to the word Trim. These first three digits relate to the colour or colours of the car. The second three digits relate to the material / colours of the upholstery.
Cars used for this excises are mostly original paint cars, albeit with possible touchups, blends, half paints etc, though hopefully they represent a close to original glimpse of the fabulous colours offered to our favourite models. Variants will be degrees of fading, unpolished, computer screen resolutions etc.
Repainted cars pictured are for memory and I welcome any input of corrections. I also very warmly welcome any additional pictures that I am missing or complete new additions to this thread of colours. As one can see, there are many holes in the numbering system.
Thank you,
Steve Jackson
Trim number 511 & Paint Number 585-9895 - either code = Honey Beige
Trim number 744 & Paint Numbers 585-9893 & 585-0246 - either code = Castile Green & Snowcrest White

Re: Holden FB-EK Colours and Combinations - Cars - Paint Num
This is great!! a few combos I had never seen.. I had 3 FB Specials, one was the very pale purple with the grey flash and had a plate or a sticker on the firewall (was a looong time ago!) warning something about the type of paint it had on her skin, a dark green car that eventually showed me she was originally pink with white flash, must have had a thorough repaint at one time!!! one with a light grey body/dark grey flash that I bought for $80 twin carbs, extractors, alloy rocker cover, VH44 boosted brakes, sports wheel and mags but had slightly flared rear guards..miss em!, also had 2 light green EK sedans (one Special and one base model) and a white ute with the green roof.
I would LOVE to another FB Special!..

Re: Holden FB-EK Colours and Combinations - Cars - Paint Num
My car Martha is being built from two cars, one was the donor. I want to paint her in the colours of the donor and unfortunately dont have the codes anymore as the donor has long since gone to Holden heaven. The body of the donor car was Twilight Turquoise, and it had a white flash. I am trying to find out the code for the white flash and roof. Wonder if anyone knows, or has these colours on their car. Thanks Gingy.
