Firewall "horsehair"

Post by Harv »

Getting very, very close to rego for Grace's ute.

Went to trim up the firewall over Easter, and fitted the "horsehair" to the cabin side of the firewall. The horsehair is a blanket of brown, fibrous insulation, about 1" thick, with a heavy brown cardboard backing. They are held in place with large black plastic plugs. I always thought the horsehairs were one-piece, but it looks like they are two piece. I have fitted the "big one" on the passenger's side, which runs from the passenger kick panel, past the heater hose grommet, over the centreline of the car and almost up to the pedals. The passenger side horsehair has three plastic plugs. It looks like there is also a drivers side horsehair, which is much smaller (drivers kick panel to the pedal assembly, one plastic plug).

Does anyone have a spare drivers side horsehair please? Happy to pay, and pay postage.

Cheers,
Harv
