Mate she’s come a long way. I remember the original shots of the tunnel.

I got into the workshop yesterday afternoon and masked off the firewall and sprayed some Septone Under Vehicle rust proofing/sound deadener, it is a bituminous product that I thought would be ok between the subchassis and the firewall without being too thick.

Wanted to get this on a couple of days before the weekend so that it is basically dry before the front goes on.

Wow! I wasn’t expecting Yellow! Given the era driveline and interior mods, I’m thinking it will suit what you’re going for on this thing. I sill can’t picture it on the body, but I’m looking forward to it :) Will you be running full chrome work?

I get a giggle out of it being a &*#@ colour - mine is too. I mean, it arrived in my hands that way, but I’ve grown to like it. Hey, if the shoe fits...

ps: I meant to also say I love the body colour up top/black underneath efforts on the K frame and firewall. Personally never been a fan of body colour on the K frame legs and trans tunnel. Weird, minor detail, but makes a difference I reckon.

Top work all round mate! Bet you’re looking forward to bolting it up on the weekend! At least the beers afterwards...

J I am not going to be running very much chrome at all :wtf: possibly only the grill, park light/blinker eye brows and bonnet bar but don't want to give all my secrets away just yet.

Oooh interesting... tell ya what, I've never quite worked out what would look good in place of chrome bumpers, but I quite like the way my ute looks at the moment without the front bumper on it. Like a stock car vibe or something... anyway, looking forward to see what you come up with.

I like the painted dash, head and tail light surrounds on standards and commercials. Makes them stand out from the more common specials. The stainless window trims can be painted which I did on my standard sedan refresh. I don’t know about bumpers though. One piece smoothed bumper is an idea I like but very hard to do well with a chrome finish.
