4 Speed Shifter

Post by NoMAD »

You can keep the bench seat by either, notching out part of the bench due to the shifter or get a 4 speed shifter from a 1 tonner or ute as they were made to fit around the bench

There's a couple threads on the FE/FC board about the Aussie 4speed conversion. Tunnel mods will be required but they are minimal, one of the members designed a kit to shift the shifter further up the trans and not have to modify the bench.
Have you looked into a Commodore 5 speed? I think they are smaller box than the Supra, but probably weaker, but if your not laying rubber every take-off it shouldn't matter.
