whos good for mod plates on the sth side of bris?

great Craig its an early 186A block they take the rubber/neoprene ones
no leaks
im a happy man ,I got it up to temp maybe a little bit to hot.
I go by smells and a touch on the radiator...
anyway the engine was running fine ,way outta tune
I flicked the switch for my fans and smoke and sizzling from the engine bay
im a big man and I moved so quick to the battery and removed a terminal
i hooked up a plus to a minus
it melted stuff a foot back from the firewall
ive replaced it all now
i wish my toaster was that good

whats the size and thickness of plate steel gotta be to be legal for a seat belt?
wipers are working ,putting belts in ,speedo cable
have to make a mount for the handbrake
cut down a 100 x100 down and weld in place
got the tappet cover sorted for roller rockers just 2 gaskets bro ,sweet as ..
anyone know someone that could tune my car
,triple su guy ?
ill buy the tool ,if I have to and have a crack

The rules for reinforcing plates are covered in the National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification Section LK Seating and Occupant Protection (often referred to as NCOP). NCOP is virtually identical to the requirements of ADR4 and ADR5 for seatbelt mounts.. There is also some additional information in VSB5B (the National Code of Practice Standards Bulleting 5B Construction and Installation of Additional Seats by Individuals).
The NCOP guidance on reinforcing plates requires:
• the plates to be made of mild steel,
• the surface area of the plates must not be less than 3750mm2 and have a thickness of 3-4.5mm (1/8-3/16”). This means you can make the plates any shape you want (not just 50x75) as long as they have enough surface area. Handy for getting plates into slim areas like the B and C pillars. Note that VSB5B allows not less than 75mm x 50mm x 3mm (3750mm2), but requires the plates to be no thicker than 4mm,
• the plates must be contoured to fit the vehicle body,
• the plates must have a minimum 5mm corner radius with the plate edges closest to the body chamfered.
• the bolts used must be 7/16” UNF SAE Grade 8.

they have don e the math ,ill follow the rulz
