Re: My EK project
Sweet ,Thanks for that ,ill have to get the rubber to fit first.....
ive taped it on as I go ,man its tight,i think the problem is that the glass doesn't
sit down in the rubber far enough, old was 10mm new is 7mm glass in rubber
due to the little rises where it sits, see pics 1 and 2 old vs new
the old one is old but not squashed,so that's why the rear rubbers don't fit imho
I wonder if I could glue the bastard onto the glass to stop it from springing off when im installing stainless etc...
f#$king cars,lol

Re: My EK project
When I did the screen in the red wagon I tried a few different strips spare ones I had before I got them
To fit good and make sure there got no bent bits in the strip edges where it go's onto the rubber
Just bend it back out with some long nose pliers they get them from people sticking screw drivers under them to
Lever the screen out I've done it my self
And yeah the rubber will come of the glass only about a thousand times so you might need the odd refreshment
Break
Car is looking goooood spats are cool

Re: My EK project
hey Billy no hose test as yet ,doors were tight to close but 3 wks later a gentle slam
Ive put the front seat in ,fully back its just hitting the gear lever.....
am going to have to move it back 30mm or so
do you think if I drill more holes and weld some nuts on underneath as original would be ok?
painted the dash and made a parcel tray, both covered with clinker grey......

once the seat is moved back itll be about here

Could be painful Mick, if your play buddy catches Ed Roth out the corner of her eye and gets a frightMick Jagger wrote:Ben , it's a little head job![]()
