Looks to have come off the brush quite well Trev!
Re: My Chopped wagon
At least with a brush I have a good excuse for dodgy paint jobs lol.Craig Allardyce wrote:Looks to have come off the brush quite well Trev!

Hahaha still thinking I might need to lower the base of the front seat, although I do fit now.SunnyTim wrote:I still can't wait to see the tall lanky bugger you are pull up in this and crawl out

Re: My Chopped wagon
i dropped my seat (original ek bench) by 3 inches my roof is chopped 4 inches
i modified the metal frame to sit over the tunnel
im only short so it helps
i still have troubles seeing traffic lights out of the side windows
dropping your seat will help in my opinion
this is the only shot i have of the seat with the door open
there is no gap what so ever on the side profile where the seat hits the floor
by the way my seat does not move on slide runners

Re: My Chopped wagon
It will be done then, I'm 6'2" and the chop is 3" out of the pillars and 1/2" out of roof dome.

I can sit in the car with standard seat and not hit my head ( no headliner).
I'm still pissed off with that little prick Jack! Lol.

Re: My Chopped wagon
Im the same height as you trev but the thing is these days im finding that even commercial vehicles have ample leg room but roof height is terrible.
I am interested to see how your wagon goes when its all finished and you get to do some miles in it and see how the roof height goes.
My father in law has a chev 3 window coupe with a chopped roof and my head touches the roof, after a couple of hours im keen to get out.

Re: My Chopped wagon
my son jayden is 6/2 when he drives the ute for more than an hour he complains about comfort
my answer to him is allways the same

put a stock roof back on it after you put me in a box and bury me

Re: My Chopped wagon
I still remember Trev squeezing himself into the roadster only to get drowned in what was one of the wettest days I'd been out in it. Fun times, not sure how he'd go driving it it's perfect for me but I'm a short arse!
Dropping the seat sounds like the way to go Trev, especially if you're running the visor. Traffic lights might be a bit hard to see though.

Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
Re: My Chopped wagon
Good times for sure DR, that roll bar was belting me in the head too lol.
There is still plenty to sort out after the paint goes on, most important is comfort of driving position.
