Caps on Roh rim?
Caps on Roh rim?
Hi guys,
I recently bought a set of black roh rims 13 x 4.5, I've been trying to fit the FB hub caps on there but I'm struggling and i don't want to damage the caps, do you know if they even fit? If not do you know where i can get some baby moon caps or something nice? what are my options?

I vaguely remember an old post discussing these rims. Try searching as I think it was quite a few years ago. Fairly sure they're not such a great fit.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

I have ROH chromies 13x6 & 7" off my sedan and ran stock caps on them for years. They were s tight fit. Have you got a rough cap you can have a go with? Two lugs home then palm hit a la stiff arm or rubber mallet.

Re: Caps on Roh rim?
I ran them foe a while and got sick of losing caps. They don't have the little ridge that holds them on.

Mallet worked but just like you said they kept on popping off, is it worth using a grinder to create a ridge?fb cruisin wrote:I ran them foe a while and got sick of losing caps. They don't have the little ridge that holds them on.

Re: Caps on Roh rim?
Or a few tack welds around the rim where it sits then you can grind them to suit just how I would look at it

Tack welding or grinding wheel rims?????? Be careful of causing cracks!
Re: Caps on Roh rim?
I had the same issue - they just don't have anywhere near enough ridge to hold the caps on - the only way to get them to lock on is to grind a deeper ridge with a dremel or grinder - it's rough and I don't like it either so I've kept the original rims and might have them blasted and re-powder coated.
You will find me lost somewhere!
Re: Caps on Roh rim?
You should be able to get wider rims with your original centres welded in at the offsets you want. Rims should be separated from centres to be chromed in any case. Chromed rims with painted centres and factory caps looks nice imho.
