The Thing now rest's at the
Linigan Family's NSW Speedway Museum.
I spotted a thread on a club run by the NSW FE/FC to the museum and I
knew I had an article on the car. Suprising whats still around.
These colour pics are from the museum & were ripped off the FE/FC forum
totally without permission....I hope they don't mind.
Cheers
Jeff

There was a twin inline grey motored rail in the 60's.

I hope he doesn't mind me ripping them off.
I did put a link on the FE/FC forums original thread
back to this thread for them to see it to.

No I don't mind.
Glad you enjoyed the pics.
Here are a couple more.
It's a shame that many of the original components have gone missing.
It would be cool to drive it around the pits at a Nostalgia Drags.
Check out the old dragster sitting next to it.
Regards
Alex

Thanks for the extra pics Alex
Do you remember, or have a pic of the drivers name on
the front engine dragster next to 'The Thing'
Cheers

hehe - valve gear mods include some lumpy whizz sticks - ya gotta love the hip writing style of the time. I read these articles not just for their content - but their writing worth!
Cheers streetneat-Andrew.
