New Project
Picked up a new project today, thanks to Ray Smith for parting with his garden art.

Re: New Project
Good stuff Russell. The new wagon for the Nullarbor run 2018?
Re: New Project
Thanks Craig, putting me under pressure already!!
Would be good to have it finished for then, thinking of a later type setup for it. Not sure what yet but probably a v8.

Thanks folks, it looks worse than it actually is but the main thing it seems to be all there. Will keep you updated on the build .

Re: New Project
A bit more pressure for you Russell! Its taken a few years but I finally found it. We'll have some work to do on it but nothing too major. I pick it up in couple of months. Roll on 2018.
Re: New Project
Yes, love seeing posts of dear old girls coming out of "storage" - any whipper snipper marks?
Have "logged" into this thread - watching with keen interest.
Bit OT - Craig, are you coming to the dark side.... does it sleep two?
Wheels look like early Pontiac...? maybe Morris Cowley...?
If you run the Nullabor - I bet the truckies don't have the usual whinge about "wobblies" when they eyeball this one ... and on the back of an FB...
I can see a feathered Apache arrow through this little gem... even a small Apache headband on the crown to match...
Do you mind if I copy this van pic and post it on our ACC caravan forum? - I'm certain a lot of my fellow members will want more info.
Might be time to start a thread of its own... you certainly have my attention.
Love to find that it has a travel history.
Apologies to the OP - I've got a soft spot for little teardrops.
frats,
Rosco

Re: New Project
Yeh Rosco I'll start another thread. Don't want to take over this one as we do so easily.
Its a 1948 model.
Wheels are Dodge (1933).
Travelled a bit I'm guessing.
Hoping it will be behind the EK ute for 2018....not sure about the colour as yet.
Yeh fill your boots with posting elsewhere.

Re: New Project
Thanks Craig,
will do.
And - looking for your new thread. Something is nagging me that we have a "period caravan" thread in this forum somewhere... might have to run a "search"..
