Looks to me like it was originally light blue, what do the tags say ???
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

SunnyTim wrote:dont know how it got from seagull grey to pidgeon grey somewhere on page 2. The tags say seagull grey and a white roof, the colours you have posted look like seagull grey. The 240v socket you posted next to the fuel tank is pretty normal for a 1960s trailer light wiring. The key under the dash is 1970s, not original cut.
The kill switch is pretty normal for most old holdens too.'

it got there cause i am an idiot , yes its does say its seagull grey

Hey guys

It's been a while since last post so just an update. I have striped the entire front end of the new grey ek and have removed motor and gear box from green ek , not much left of her now.
The new grey ek had a nice surprise when removing front sub frame I also removed the drivers side mount it was completely rusted out, a lot more rust behind there then expected . :wtf:
Got a new welder last week about to start The repairs, also picked up another front subframe from down in Cowra great condition just 2 small holes, so that issue sorted .Apart from the body now I have all rust free panels , also scored a NOS passenger side replacement sill, so all in all its still moving along nicely.

hi guys

in the last few days i have had a big win . a close friend has put me in contact with a bloke he knows who is selling of his ek sedan part restored ( all in primer just needs paint and re assembly ,
the offer was to good to refuse , so i have just brought it .
this means the 2 eks pictured above need to go i would like to sell as a complet lot as doing this will give the buyer a complete rolling shell again and have allmoste another complete roller for spares.
included in sale is :
1 x ek specal sedan. ( good one ) manual segual grey/ white roof . diff no brakes , right rear passanger door . leaf springs , rigional front subframe . this car is a matching number car all tags included/not removed there is some rust in the fire wall and around the front dog legs , and drivers side outer subframe mount .
1x ek special sedan tri matic opal green / white roof , diff includes breakes ,tail sharft, leaf springs , boot lid , front suspension set up no brakes , auto steering coloumb, right read passanger door , origional subframe numbers removed . not tags or numbers
also included in sale is NOS passanger side sill and another sub frame (ek auto ) with very minor rust have the rust repair leg included . may part these out seperate at the right price .
with all the above you would be able to put the grey one back to a roller with no worries at all . all in all i think is a fair price .

$800.00ono the lot

also have the complet motor and gear from the opal green car that can be included at additional cost .
please pm me if you have any questions or call on 0423333508
i will post some pictures tonight/tommoro
