You're totally right there Thommo... that's exactly what I said to myself when I saw that photo. When I used to do all these airbrushed scales back in the late 70's on stuff they always had to go facing toward the rear when painted sideways.
Great photo's you W.A. blokes I enjoyed them a lot!

they were done backwards deliberately - if you knew the owner you would know why .........

Thank you so much for the comprehensive photo coverage. It really WAS like being there! My favorites were the Blown 40 Deluxe Coupe and the black Karmann Ghia.
