vh 40 booster

hi I have a vh 40 booster and I think it has gone. when I put my foot on brakes the revs go up and the pedal is really hard to stop. the vac hose is ok to so thinking the booster has died any one had same problem

Yep, the diaphram has split, you should be able to buy a replacement one easily enough .....
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
