Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
G'day all if you put the spacers on the wheel hub.would it space the disc 17mm from the caliper and how does the caliper fit the disc and fit were it mounts on the front end.cheers gazza.
Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
Ring around some local tyre places some do have the guard rolling tools
Hint if u roll them yourself use a hair dryer to heat the guard and paint up first
It does help

Hi Gazza the disc and caliper are in the same spot, the spacer is on the second hub that holds the wire wheel on (I'll put a pic up soon) to show yougazza wrote:G'day all if you put the spacers on the wheel hub.would it space the disc 17mm from the caliper and how does the caliper fit the disc and fit were it mounts on the front end.cheers gazza.

Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
well i finally booked in with the engineer for the inspection on Thursday the 12 of April. so just a few things to fix up before then,
i took it back to the muffler shop as it was hitting the back spring just a bit, i didn't like it hitting,so i cut out a section of the steel that the tank sits on, so they could left the pipe up out of the way
when it was up on the hoist, i could see the muffler pipe was a little close the the petrol tank (68mm)
i welded a piece of sheet metal in between the pipe and the tank (2mm)
I think that should be alright
the axle rubbers are in there right spots and so is the axle but they don't look right
are the rubbers pose to hit the axle or what
sent some photos to the engineer as to weather i have to cover this area up or not
as you can see my fuel ump is there
and i'am covering it all with a sheet of ply, hope that's all i need to do there
and i worked out a holder for the battery box

Hi There,
The original diff housings have some offset brackets welded on between the U bolts.
I just noticed you welded the plate inbetween the exhaust and tank and it didnt go boom, should be ok I thinking !
Regards Greg

Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
Best option is to get hold of a stock diff and cut off the bump stop plates and then weld them on to the diff. I did this on mine as I put in an EJ diff which has a different setup.michaeljohn1234m wrote:so should i be moving the rubbers more over the axle or should i attach them to the axelEK283 wrote:Hi There,

did the Compliance inspection ( tryed to post the report but it won't do it will try again later ) on Thursday the 10th and got the Compliance Certificate all Finished on Friday the 17th and rego an hour later
gave it a buff for the first time in 12 years, some marks, but on a hole it's fine and I'm happy with the paint
did the road test and it's fine no shakes, drives good
still got a few things to do but for now I'll just enjoy it
