Ute wiring loom

Post by alwalburn@y7mail.com »

Gday,
Are putting a 202 and trimatic in the ek ute and the ute was dismantled before purchase.
The wireing loom has gone missing and I was wondering if I am better off looking for a second hand loom or buying a universal loom and rewireing.
Taking in to consideration that I want to hide as much as possibe ,upgrade headlights ,sterio ,gauges, thermo fans ,electric fuel pump ect.
Any and all guidance would be real helpful.
Cheers Al

Best bet would be to get a new loom especially if you want to hide as much as possible.

Yep - get a new one , they will have a decent fusebox and big enough gauge wiring to handle the extra load .
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Just started doing up a ek ute and have the same missing wiring loom issue. Where do you buy new ones from. Being from central Queensland does anyone know of anyone that deal with ek's around this area,I would love to talk to them

As for looms, here's one place to get them. Not these are well priced and designed for RHD provided you let them know thats what you need.

My FB is fitted with one from Vintage wiring harness in Ringwood. Fantastic work of the highest quality and a good price too.

I think Scotts get theirs from them. You'd have to do some mods though for the rest of your additions but it would be a good start.

Thanks for all that it is a huge help. Unfortunately nobody said they were from any where near me so I reckon I'll be asking a lot more questions on here.
