I haven't Rosco. In fact the VZ I own is the first car I have ever carried a spare in, and that's only because it out of site out of mind. However I don't carry a jack or any tyre changing gear as there are sub where they go. I drove to NSW and back like that.

More then likely I'll just carry a standard size spare rim and tyre that I'm running...

Your call - I just couldn't go anywhere without a spare.... just me, I'm afraid...

At least the stock spare will get you out of trouble until you can get a puncture fixed.....

I had 5 special order Dragways made up - so that I could simply change and keep going... then I found that it didn't come close to fitting in that pizza cutter well... not to mention the 14" rim and wider profile tyre....

As mentioned, looking for a larger "well" - and will MIG it in.... when I find one.

frats,
Rosco

Well went and had a look at the EK and they have started on the panels. Which is good new and bad. Need to find some guards. All the other panels are good to go.

I'll get some more pic's in a couple of weeks.

BTW, I'm after a couple of guards. If anyone has got some give us a yell... Thanks guys

good guards are getting hard to find - if yours are repairable I would be repairing them
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Anything is repairable. Just seeing what may be out there. I have time to look.

At the end of the day if I can get better guards then I have it may be cheaper doing it that way.

Well went to have a look at the project. Not much done ATM, but as you can see all the bog has been taken out of the rear quarters and straightened out. The brief I gave them was I wanted no rust, no dents, no bog and all panels fitted aligned so all gaps are the same. So their doing exactly what I have asked. Awesome job their doing....

Well went and had a look at the EK. What a difference. They have hung the door and starting to fix the floor on the passengers side.
The car had been hit in the rear, hence the gap in the passengers side wheel arch.
And a new floor is going back in.

Just read thru most of your build. Its coming along nicely.
Some info on the Volvo diff. Stud pattern matches early Holden FC to HG and also Torana not HQ onwards. Hotrodders use them due to the disc brake set up and are a very strong diff. Borg Warner from memory, with the option to a LSD centre if you can find one.

Mick.

Edit: Just remembered the new X Type Jags have the same stud pattern not that you'd go with any of their wheels due to the offset.
Be interesting to see how the suspension is set like though.

Thanks Mick. With the diff I have it's LSD already but I want it in HQ stud pattern now as the front will be HQ stud pattern because of the 2" lowered Stub axle I'm using.

These are the rims I'm going to run
