Re: Grey engine paint code
Sounds about right Blacky, I have a couple of cans at home. You can order them in at Autobarn. I'll double check when I get the chance. Its the darker grey not the light grey some use.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
Re: Grey engine paint code
Your local paint shop should still have the right code and be able to mix it. Mine did.
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital
ingredient in beer

Re: Grey engine paint code
I went down this "grey" motor engine grey jaunt a few years back - and uncovered some "interesting" facts....
The grey actually varied from state to state.... one old former GMH employee told me that he saw spray painters "throw" whatever they had left over into the mix....
Another yarn was the "Castrol" green hue ...."to camouflage leaking oil"...
There have been quite a number of different grey paint shades used - from a Massey Ferguson light grey - through to the very dark and slightly green grey .... I'm yet to see one with a lot of black in it.... but I'm sure it's coming....
So, fellas - I suppose if enough people use a particular paint supplier's "GMH code" - it will become the "standard" for grey motors...... perhaps it has...?
