Must have been close to valve bounce at 85mph or do I suspect some engine or differential trickery here???

No trickery, stock grey.
No speedo 'bounce'
May have been some valve bounce but this motor seems to love to rev.
Got it to 90mph on the way home (trying to outrun a red!)

Did go through that speedo check sign on the highway on the way down doing a smidge under 70 mph and it flashed '107kmh' which is pretty darn close.

I love this car, starts first go every go and has only let me down when I snapped axles (rare as hell - only happened twice and won't happen again because their now billet)
