Front right indicator not working

Post by becsetsfire »

Hi all,

Guess I should start by introducing myself. I'm Bec and Shirley is my '61 EK I've had only a few months. I've spoken to a few of you over Instagram already. As I'm knew to this whole owning an old car game, I'm going to be relying on you lot loads! And I'm probably going to ask really stupid questions but go easy on me, I'm learning slowly...

So my front right indicator is out. Changed the globe with no luck. It's flashing on the dash, just doesn't seem to want to work on the outside. Any ideas? I've worked out which is the right wire from the wiring diagrams :smile2:

Hoping its a simple fix and it's something I can do myself, just don't want to go setting the car alight by cocking up!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bec

Hi Bec, I'm not too good with electricary but it could be a bad earth causing it. You may need to get a test light to try and chase down the issue (looks like a screwdriver with a wire coming out). This will tell you if you at least have power to the indicator to start with, then go from there.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
