in 1975 somone I know was offered two classics in Sydney
one was a DB6 and the other a Gull Wing
He begged borrowed and who knows what else and bought the DB6, the Merc was priced for a quick sale at 25K
No hope for me, as an apprentice I was bringing hime $48 a week

Was told another story a year back about one being found in the US buy a guy who bought up old farm equitment and car & trucks from people with Farms that had gone broke.
He listed it for 20K and no offers. Someone from Here rang and asked about it thinking it was a prank. The guy told him it was a Mercedes sports car and he would accept nothing less than the asking price. And to ring back the next day because he was busy.
The guy rang back the next day to be told you are too late, someone turned up and bought it and didnt have a problem with the price. The caller then let him know what it was and how much he could have got and hung up!

Yeah lucky me. Id agree with you if i was bringing it home instead of the stuff he wanted me to sell for him at the swap.
Not only does he have this but a 300 sl roadster to match.
He isnt a money guy by the way he has busted his arse all his life to get these.

Not sure i understand what the problem with lhd is. Why would it be better if it was rhd. In an international market i would rather lhd. Ive been driving my lhd fcorvette for years now without a problem.
