Mount Tamborine 29th July

We will be meeting at the Mount Tamborine botanic gardens, Forsythia drive at 11.00 am for a picnic lunch or buy some food from the many shops on the mountain. Feel free to explore the many attractions in the morning or afternoon that mount Tamborine has to offer. Sky walk, many walking tracks, thunder Bird Park, the brewery witches chase cheese, lots to do and see.

The Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens were Formed in 1982 by the Tamborine Mountain Garden Club Inc., at the suggestion of the Beaudesert Shire Council. The land was Lantana-covered with the Tamborine Creek flowing through. The land was Cleared by Volunteers, the lake and stone bridge built, and plantings of native and exotic species undertaken. Over the years with the help of the Council, and successive groups of Volunteers, the Gardens have evolved into their present unique blend of Sub-tropical Rainforest and carefully planned exotic species. These Botanic Gardens are a tribute to those helpers who are currently nurturing them and those who have made their mark in the past.


Cost is $15 for a trail pass and dependent children are free.
