Don’t you find it Funny that after Monday(M) and Tuesday(T), the rest of the week says WTF?
Re: long winded question ............
Triples, and progressive linkage. All the grunt down low, and all the spare venturi up top.
American Autos can do you the Holley 7448 restrictors, though they need some bending and trimming to fit. One of the earlier forum posts mentions a carb service mob (Extreme Fuel Systems? man, my memory is shot) that had a box of assorted restrictors on hand.
Cheers,
Harv.

Found the link, it was Xtreme Fuel systems in Cambelltown who had the box of restrictors:

Gotta agree Ash, whoever did your carbs did not appear to do an appropriate job (in my humble opinion). Blocked accelerator pump circuits and loose float bowl vents are not acceptable on fully reco'd carbs.
Fingers,
Most Strommie linkages are set up so that both (or all three) carbs run equally (i.e. the connection is the same for all carbs). In a progressive setup, as you start to push down on the go pedal, only one carb starts to work. You get good snappy acceleration, and can cruise around town on one carb, which is good for fuel efficiency (not that triples can't be tuned lean... its just harder). As you keep pushing the go pedal more, the other carbs start to open up. You now have extra carb capacity (ie not starving due to lack of CFM). It's similar in principle to vacuum secondaries on a 4-barrel - two barrels run in cruise mode, 4 barrels run when your boot is buried. Progressive linkage is a bit harder to build and a lot harder to tune, but is beautiful once running. See page 86/87 of the guide for a bit more info, and page 96 for photos of some cool triples with progressive linkage (can't remember whose carbs... but very, very cool
).
Cheers,
Harv.

Re: long winded question ............
Triples, they are worth the effort and once set up they are easy to keep tuned.
Mine aren't on a proggresive linkage and they work well, venturi restrictors/sleeves are essential
