Stromberg Venturi Restrictors???

Post by Craig Allardyce »

Hi all,
I came across this the other day whilst overhauling a carby off a stock FB. The owner says its never been modified that he knows even in its past history prior to him owning it. He does say it gets good mileage and torque and response is good down low.
I couldn't find a listing for this restrictor and was thinking maybe that they were an aftermarket item or Bendix/Stromberg part for another vehicle/manufacturer application.
They would be handy for twin carb set ups to help with overfueling problems and to improve venturi signal.
Anyone seen these?

Got it in one.

Redline http://www.redlineauto.com.au/ at Milperra NSW sell a restrictor for a Holley and with a bit of filing will fit a stromberg. Do a search on the forum for venturi or restrictor for more info - theres been some posts on this.
