Replacing front clip

Post by WesternWagon »

Just about ready to bolt the front clip back on the wagon.

Have a question? When I removed it there was some type of adhesive / sealant on the upper firewall section, is this required to prevent movement / rubbing? If so what is used?

It was similar to body deadener I have looked at the FB and it is the same.

Any advice very welcome.

Cheers

Sounds like the stuff you need is seam sealer. Used to seal the welded panel junctions and screwed/ bolted parts to prevent the ingress of moisture to areas where it can become trapped and cause rusting. You can get it either in a can or caulking tube.
