Hey Rusty,

Mate that’s pretty straight, nice photo the first one just missed the rubbed through part on the rear. :ewink: :ewink:

I assume your rubbing it wet, that 2 pack shit is hard I bet. Is your car built under VSB14 ??

If so good stuff and I can't wait till you’re finished and bring it up here to the big smoke.

Regards Greg.

EK Jay , not even funny :P , this is my least fav part of this whole build , will be glad when it is painted , sad thing is have about three more block backs before it is done.

slowly , slowly searsy

Greg , pretty happy with it considering how many bits I have welded in to it , wont be perfect , but good enough.

Had to shave a bit off the back corner , was sitting a little bit proud of the tailight when I had it fitted .

Dry sanded it first with the long block and then wet sanded it , you have fun with this stage its great fun , not .

Yeah is built under VSB14 , how are you going with it all engineer wise , giving you many headaches ?

No more trees for me Stewart

Put the whole weekend in on the Ute , have got the bonnet and stone tray straightened out and in primer as well as all my sand through spots .

Just have a few spot putty bits on the roof to sand back , block back the bonnet and stonetray and all my touch ups , and that is it . :D

Paint next week :D :D :D :D :D :D Hope we get some good weather next weekend .

Paint is ordered , pick up Thursday .

Going to sit back this arvo and have a couple of quiet ones and look at the Ute , , second thoughts better shut the door and walk away , will start seeing dents and then the spot putty will come out again and then I will have to sand it again , its like a damn disease :| :x

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital

Been praying to the weather gods all week , might of went a bit overboard  35 deg for Saturday and Sunday ,wtf , summer has finally arrived here  .

Today was perfect though 24 deg and no wind , to good to miss so chucked the base coat on the old girl .

Probably just looks like the primer , nearly the same colour :?

Have to wait and see how the wind and heat works out for the weekend to see if I can progress any further .

Have to bolt it all back together again now for the pearl coat , try and get it all the same colour :P

Thanks Guys , searsy your a worry :P

Weather was bloody awesome down here on the weekend , but not for painting cars , we set some records down here heat wise , was 30 deg at 10am here Saturday
Morning and we topped out at 40 deg here at home on both Sat and Sun, Sunday night was the hottest over night temp that we have had down here for 98 years :o

Us Tasmanians are not use to that kind of heat , so nothing got done on the car , except putting the panals back on .

The paint that Iam using is really transparent and looking at the ute from certain angles in the bright sun over the weekend you could see right through it to the primer underneath , and pick out differant shades in the primer where it has been sanded , but only in the bright sun.

Have blocked it back again with 800 and will have to put another couple of coats of base over it ,before I start on the clear coats .

Hope this weekend is ok.

Yeah bit of a shock , you go from 20 deg to 40 and them back to 20 , be alright if you had a few days to adjust to the high temps .

Pearls on , one step closer :) Looks good when the sun comes out , not too much down here today .

Next step , pull it back apart again , for the last time ever  :D :D :D

Pearl the inside sections and then clear it all .
