FB sedan.. parked in shed since 1980.

Post by reddo »

Yo..
I called at panelbeating shop the other day to get a ball parl quote on getting the old panno resprayed / rust removed etc.
While i was there a bloke from the radiator place over the road came over and handed me a card with a blokes name and number on it... plus the words..FB Holden sedan. 8) 8) 8) 8)

He said it was one of his wifes relos and he hadnt seen the car.
I rang old mate yesterday arvo and arranged to meet him at the house he is selling. The green and white sedan was in the shed.....hjad been since hios dad handed in his license in 1980

After a 10 minute climb in an around the mounds of crap in the shed .. i said i would take it.

Have ordered a car float for this aturday morning.
Heading back over there in the sons 60 series cruiser to drag the old darlin kickin and screaming back into the sunlight....

Photos and recovery story to be continued .. probably saturday arvo....

Nup... i aint tellin yas what condition its in....

Stay tuned...

Dontcha just love it when everyone starts jumpin to conclusions...

So... to ease the pain
"Nice one Reddo - haven't seen a decent barn find for a little while"...

If i was to say..... "i still havent seen a decent barn find for a bloody long while......"
and.. apologise for maybe using the wrong sort of emoticons ( the little green blokes)
would that help clarify this sedans condition...

' Roll up the window and hold your nose
This old FB .. she aint no rose.... "

No nasco bits...ummm .. tell a lie .. it has a rear venetian....No glovebox full of full service history... ummm.. in fact i dont think it has a glovebox inner... No small block Chev... although the roof has caved in and looks sorta chopped.....

There now....
Ya can all rest easy ... photos next weekend.
