burnout comps i don't understand especially judging them also don't understand risking 10-15k engines for a 5k comp IF you win

BUT doing burnouts especially in a car that does it easy  well  that's a different storey :D  and i mean a car with a good slipery or locker diff and not sitting in one place with yor foot hard on the brakes 8)
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

mick try going boat racing. Hundred thousand dollar boat. Win next to nothing.

I won the bridge to bridge in my class a few years ago. With fuel , entry etc $ 1000. Next morning I flushed the engine and found it had no oil pressure. Add that to the cost.
And what did I win, a plastic five dollar trophy.
It was worth every cent.

would be great winning not really for the money there's comps paying up to 15k but i recjon there's to much boys club etc in it and the judging i can't figure out to me there's good burnouts and dull a guy i know that does the circut mick brasha does wild entertaining burnouts but doesn't win very often and has been told if you tame it down and be more controlled about it you'll win but the controlled burnouts are boreing looks like a guy driving around skidding his tyres
to see some of braha's work search ulegal or brasha should be plenty of vids :ewink:

Best exhibition burn out ever was Victor Bray's at the 1st (maybe 2nd???) Summernats when they held it on the main road inside before the burnout track was built.
Dead straight & the back tyres still alight at 70-80mph with no brakes used.

Its one thing I love with my Pontiac, if it starts spinning it will keep spinning all through top gear.
