Hi Scoob,

Mate the car is looking grand.

How's your engineering status going ? I can't get an answer from anyone who really knows whats happening.

I hope for everyone sake it comes to an honest and sensible end.

Cheers guys :D

Greg,

The engineer had a look at it in November last year and didn't think I would have a problem with it.
He said to me back then even if the rules do change I would have 6 months to finish the car.
Hopefully the car will be ready in a couple of weeks for him to do a final inspection and I'll let you know how it goes.

Here is the number of the lady at the RTA how approves the engineering certificates.1300336206
I would be giving her a call if I was you because i think all the old system engineering certificates had to be complete by the end of January 2012.

Thanks Searsy, my engineer is one of the approved ones for the new VSCCS so hopefully it will be okay.
From what I understand from all the internet jargon is the old Engineering Certification Scheme (ECS) was replaced with the new Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme (VSCCS)

The below link states there is no changes to the NSW vehicle standards
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/ ... index.html

This link shows you have until 19th june to get your old ECS in
