Sometimes it might be better to PM ePay linksnickygee. wrote:that Kleinig manifold went for a bit to much money for me!
Having said that - ePay generally has inflated prices (I'm not saying this particular item went for too much)
Keep on the hunt something will turn up
Re: Grey Twin manfold!
If your still looking for one, I think I have one in the shed.
Re: Grey Twin manfold!
Hi Guys
Sorry but been napping on the message front and didn't reply asap then forgot (Alzheimer's ? Maybe !!!) Couldn't find your email NG but they do wander off sometimes?
I have a few for sale at the moment and always on the lookout for more
At the moment I have: beautiful and not too common Lanspeed, Speco with good nameplate and full linkage kit as originally supplied but that needs new zinc plating, Warnerford with nameplate, Speedomotive (apparently early John Cain and looks VERY similar to a Merv Waggot I sold some time back) and a Hi Torque which have a pretty good design and lots of fins.
I'm also working on a batch of rocker covers WEY seven fin x 1,WEY three fin x 2, Speco x 2 all blasted clean in the top finned areas and internally. You get the pleasure of polishing the sides and fin tops ! When they are blasted they look really fresh in a mint engine bay
All are in good nick and all have been vapour blasted / hydro blasted / wet blasted whatever you like to call it, back to fresh fine alloy finish ready to use.
Plenty for everyone, I'll try and get pics when I am not busy!

Re: Grey Twin manfold!
So speed-o-motive is John Cain?
Thats an interesting piece of trivia that I was unaware of.
Are you sure? I have one to suit a grey and one also for a red.Its good to know this stuff,
I just assumed it was another of the million or so manufacturers of the time that made these things.(which I guess it was)

Re: Grey Twin manfold!
G'day Craig
Mate - not going to say it hand on heart as it is 'net' info which can be a whole load of sh!t as we all know. The source was http://www.hotsixes.com/index.php?optio ... 8&Itemid=6 for what it's worth. I dug out the photo of the Waggott and I was off the mark big time in the similarity stakes. Don't know what I was thinking !
I might see if Jimmy can have the patience to get all the pics together and post them and then convince Harv to do an in depth article on them - that'll keep him busy! Tried posting it but the file was too big ? Maybe photobucketting all the manifold pics would work.
You're right about the number of them made - must have been a HUGE industry back in the day. Ditto rocker covers.
Cheers

Re: Grey Twin manfold!
If you post up yours,I'll post up mine.
Some of mine are in photobucket, but it wouldnt hurt to get decent shots of them all for a bit of a reference.
Plus what others have got,or have photos of..
It would make a cool thread.
Manifolds,rocker covers and sideplates.
