Can some one confirm for me if a 350 chev is the largest capacity engine you are allowed to have fitted to a fb/ek in melbourne?

could be wrong but think it's like other states 327 for a propper answer best ask an engineer or vicroads

As Mick said talk to an engineer. It has changed I think to match all the other states.

I spoke to vicroads they were useless they just referred me to look it up on the website.
I will try getting in contact with my engineer about it, thanks anyways.
