Bosch Regulator

Does anyone know if the bosch regulator cover was originally upside down - that is with the bosch writing on the cover upside down and the yellow wiring diagram showing on the side facing upwards?

Never seen one like that - but I'm not a restorer .
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
