New Interior....

Post by Mai Ki-Ki »

Just a few preliminary photos of my new 'custom' interior. Black vinyl - diamond padding

Done by my girlfriend and I on a borrowed industrial machine....(our first ever interior) patterns made from the fairly shredded originals, then sewed up with some added foam....now just need to dye the headlining black and finish the stereo install...

Lots of people seem scared to try an interior, but really not too hard with some thought and planning...not perfect but looks good.

Cheers Maiki

Awesome job! Did you have to stitch every line in the pattern? Is like to do my own trim. How much did you spend if you don't mind me asking?

Sick. I have never seen anything like it and I concur with Nathan, looks evil :D

After my failed door trim backboard swap, I think I will leave my interior retrim to the pros.

Looking good Maiki. The extra stainless will look great against the black headlining.

Even better once the chromies are on. 8)

Thanks guys!

and yep every line was sewed, plain black vinyl sewed to 12mm foam with material backing.....so all the diamonds done first then pieces cut and all sewed together. About $500-600 of materials....and a far bit of time...! Girlfriend is good seamstress, but all new experience feeding 2m x 1m pieces into the machine....2 person job!
