Grey motor extractors
Grey motor extractors
I'm shopping for a new set of extractors for my grey motor my existing ones are starting to leak, I've had them off a couple of times to repair and now its developed yet another leak around the collector. I've seen the ones on ebay from Maxheaders in Unanderra for $200, is anyone using this brand of headers and if so are they a good fit and finish?
Re: Grey motor extractors
I've never used them or seen one up close. I have 2 sets the 4 > 1 variant and the 4 > 2 variant. I'd also be interested in the quality of the $200 ebay ones.
Re: Grey motor extractors
Well I can say that I did buy a set from Maxheaders for $200 delivered and am very happy with them. The fit, quality of welding and the heatproof paint that was on them is still intact with no signs of blistering/peeling

Re: Grey motor extractors
I was talking to a guy on the phone yesterday at Perry Exhaust at Merrylands Sydney. They do 4 into 1 $290 and 4 into 2 for $330. In sizes 1 3/4" or 2" Have been making them since the '70s.

Re: Grey motor extractors
Hi,
I'm running a stock rebuilt grey in my FB and my son (very generously) surprised me with a set of extractors from maximum performance headers for Father's Day.
I'm after some feedback on this product, my local exhaust company won't fit "ebay" extractors and tell me 2-1/4" is too big for a grey.
Is anyone running this setup on a stock grey and have you had issues?
Mystery.
